Journalism
(focus on Broadcast):

  • 167 Broadcast Newswriting and Reporting - writing in radio and TV formats
  • 267 Advanced Broadcast Newswriting and Reporting - working as a news and sports reporter at TV-10 News.
  • 257 Advanced Broadcast Journalism - higher level assignments, refine your interviewing and writing skills, produce an investigative story
  • 271 Broadcast Performance - work on vocal range, pace and tone; do assignments that involve reading, interviewing, and ad libbing.
  • 398.01 Professional Field Experience - return to TV-10 as an advanced reporter, show producer, segment producer and anchor. Can be taken multiple times if you maintain a 2.5 overall GPA and demonstrate reasonable proficiency
  • 398.02 Professional Field Experience - at a TV station, network or production house

Mass Media
(focus on Television):

  • 163 Television Production - learn basic production skills, produce PSA
  • 263 Advanced Television Producton - working as a photographer/editor and control room crewmember for TV-10 News.
  • 211 Live Multi-Camera Production - learn the equipment and techniques used in multiple settings: sports, corporate, educational, government and religious.
  • 317 Digital Post-Production - advanced work on non-linear editing for television/film
  • 398.01 Professional Field Experience - return to TV-10 for advanced photographer/editor assignments and/or advanced studio crew positions including director. Can be taken multiple times if you maintain a 2.5 overall GPA and demonstrate reasonable proficiency
  • 398.02 Professional Field Experience at a TV station, network, corporation or production house
